Republican nominee Donald Trump told Associated Press reporters Monday, “We are in a divided nation.” Trump continued, “I looked two nights ago and you were having trouble in 11 different cities, big, big trouble.”
Referencing the violence against Dallas police “might be just the beginning for this summer.”
“I mean, you were having big, big trouble in many cities. And I think that might be just the beginning for this summer.” Trump stated.
Slamming the press, Trump added, “The press actually plays it down.”
Trump hammering Obama for downplaying the division that exists within American inner cities and contends the opposite is true.
“It’s far worse, and certainly far worse than the president believes it is,” he said.
At the press conference in Virginia Beach, Va., Trump declared he is “the law and order candidate” who can protect the voters.

Trump sent out a tweet regarding the crime epidemic in Chicago before appearing in Chicago today.
“Crime is out of control, and rapidly getting worse. Look what is going on in Chicago and our inner cities. Not good!”
Crime is out of control, and rapidly getting worse. Look what is going on in Chicago and our inner cities. Not good!
Trump posted a second tweet:
This election is a choice between law, order & safety - or chaos, crime & violence. I will make America safe again for everyone.
For too many years, our inner cities have been left behind. I am going to deliver jobs, safety and protection for those in need.
